I know it has been awhile, but here are a couple new cakes.

I also have made a new flavor...Fresh Apple Cake with Apple Buttercream Icing.

Percy Jackson

This cake was for a friend's son's birthday. I marbled the buttercream icing to create the stormy look of the book cover. I used silver edible glitter for the lightning rod and yellow edible glitter for the letters.

High School Grad

This was for a girl graduating from GHS and going to Baylor. I was told she was a girly girl, but she likes thing simple. So it was decided I would make the cake white buttercream with green and yellow fondant polka dots. Also I layered the green and yellow fondant for the "Baylor Bound".

Bank Cake

This year I was suffering from a back issue so I did not get very creative with the CES bank cake. I did make it a chocolate/French Vanilla marble cake. I made a brick pattern and added a "$" sign.

Wedding Shower

A friend asked me to make this cake for her friend's wedding shower. Thank you Stacy for having me make your cakes!

This is based on Ms. Ross's retirement cake. I used sage buttercream with brown and yellow accents. The flowers and leaves are gumpaste. I challenged myself by painting the leaves and flowers for texture.

2-n-1 cake

This cake was for a girl and a boy. I make their birthday cake last year (my first topsy-turvy cake) and they called again!

The girl wanted a purple princess hat...

The boy wanted a red and black wizard hat...

And the mom wanted one 3D cake...

It was so fun making this cake. I used a sugar cone for the very top of the cake. I put sugar dragees on the princess side and edible glitter on the wizard side.

Friend's Birthday

Friend's Birthday - This sweet little girl likes butterflies and strawberries. So I made a round French Vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream icing (first time I used strawberry flavoring) and it had a strawberry filling. The icing is slightly pink with purple butterflies. I wrote Happy Birthday on the top and since she was turning 5 I put 5 butterflies on the top.

The 3Day Camp

The captains of the DFW Breast Cancer 3Day got together for a Christmas party, so of course I made a cake. Ambulance for the medical team, motorcycle for route safety, van for sweep, traffic cones for traffic, flags for check-in, tents for gear and tent, person with cup for hydration and food, semi-truck for 3Day staff.

Zebra Cake

I was very excited how this cake turned out. This was ordered from someone referred to me. She gave me the colors and asked for zebra print. I thought the shapes would be fun for the top cake.

Santa Cake

I made this cake as a gift for the office personnel at the school. I got the pan on sale after Christmas last year so I was excited to use it.

Hope's 8th Birthday

I guess I have made too much cake lately. (If that is possible.) Hope wanted brownie cupcakes. We did stars because she had a Hollywood themed party.

Birthday

This cake was a re-creation of a cake online. I was also my first zebra cake. I love all the colors.

Halloween

I had alot of fun doing these cakes. One was for a tailgate party and one was for a Halloween party.

1st Birthday Cake

I matched this cake to the invitation. It was made for Mrs. Bradshaw's granddaughter in Austin. One side was carrot and the other was French vanilla.

Topsy-Turvy

This cake was made for Coach Baze's daughter. Lime green, turquise, and brown are some of her favorite colors.

Adult Birthday Cake

Chocolate cake with chocolate coffee filling and chocolate coffee icing decorated with chocolate covered coffee beans!!!! The friend I made it for LOVES coffee and chocolate anything. (Or was that obvious.) :D It was kind of hard to make since I don't drink coffee, but everyone loved it.

Ms. Ross's Retirement

I made this cake for Loretta Ross's retirement as CES principal after 14 years. The invitations had turquoise daisies with brown and lime accents. The flowers were made out of gumpaste. I layered the daisies to give depth to them. I free-handed the scrolls on the sides. The cakes were chocolate, french vanilla, and carrot with buttercream icing.

Baby Shower

This cake was made for a friend's friend who was having twin girls. The idea came from the Pink Cake Box lady from the Food Network. I modeled the pregnant lady out of gumpaste. I was very nervous at first, but I was pleased with how it turned out. The cake was chocolate and french vanilla with buttercream icing. The letters, dots, and flowers were fondant and gumpaste.

Softball!!

Another end of the season softball cake. My friend has me come up with a different cake each season for her daughter's softball team. This season the team was the City Champ for their level. The cakes are french vanilla and chocolate with buttercream icing. The bat's texture was made using gel coloring and a toothpick. I craved the glove using my hand as a guide. Then I made a hole for the ball cupcake.

Nemo and the Beach

This cake was made out of buttercream icing, teddy grahams, lifesavers gummies, pretzels, and fruit rollups. And yes you see a can of store brought icing. However, that was bought before I starting making my own chocolate buttercream. (Which is SOOO much better than the store bought)

For this cake, I used a 9x13 pan and carved Nemo. I used the cover of the movie as a template for the decorations.
