Percy Jackson

This cake was for a friend's son's birthday. I marbled the buttercream icing to create the stormy look of the book cover. I used silver edible glitter for the lightning rod and yellow edible glitter for the letters.

High School Grad

This was for a girl graduating from GHS and going to Baylor. I was told she was a girly girl, but she likes thing simple. So it was decided I would make the cake white buttercream with green and yellow fondant polka dots. Also I layered the green and yellow fondant for the "Baylor Bound".

Bank Cake

This year I was suffering from a back issue so I did not get very creative with the CES bank cake. I did make it a chocolate/French Vanilla marble cake. I made a brick pattern and added a "$" sign.

Wedding Shower

A friend asked me to make this cake for her friend's wedding shower. Thank you Stacy for having me make your cakes!

This is based on Ms. Ross's retirement cake. I used sage buttercream with brown and yellow accents. The flowers and leaves are gumpaste. I challenged myself by painting the leaves and flowers for texture.

2-n-1 cake

This cake was for a girl and a boy. I make their birthday cake last year (my first topsy-turvy cake) and they called again!

The girl wanted a purple princess hat...

The boy wanted a red and black wizard hat...

And the mom wanted one 3D cake...

It was so fun making this cake. I used a sugar cone for the very top of the cake. I put sugar dragees on the princess side and edible glitter on the wizard side.

Friend's Birthday

Friend's Birthday - This sweet little girl likes butterflies and strawberries. So I made a round French Vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream icing (first time I used strawberry flavoring) and it had a strawberry filling. The icing is slightly pink with purple butterflies. I wrote Happy Birthday on the top and since she was turning 5 I put 5 butterflies on the top.
